CANoli End-User License Agreement & Terms of Sale
Effective September 29, 2026 · Last updated September 29, 2026
This End-User License Agreement and Terms of Sale (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“you” or “Licensee”) and Salvatorre, LLC (“we”, “us”, or “the Company”) governing your purchase and use of the CANoli desktop application and related documentation (“CANoli” or “the Software”).
By installing, activating, or using CANoli, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use CANoli.
⚠️ Important safety notice — read first
CANoli is a CAN bus analysis and diagnostics tool that can transmit messages onto a live CAN bus connected to vehicles, machinery, or other equipment. Sending CAN frames can change the behavior of that equipment and may cause unexpected, unsafe, or damaging results.
CANoli is provided for engineering, development, and diagnostic use only. It is not designed, tested, or certified for safety-critical, life-critical, or production use, and must not be relied upon for such purposes. You are solely responsible for understanding the systems you connect to and for any messages you transmit. Never use CANoli on a vehicle in motion or in any situation where unexpected behavior could cause injury or damage. You use CANoli entirely at your own risk.
1. License grant
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and payment of the applicable fees, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use CANoli for your own internal or professional purposes, as follows:
- What your license includes. Each purchase provides a license whose scope — including the number of devices on which the Software may be activated at one time (the activation “seats”), the supported platforms, and any time limit — is the scope specified for that license at the time of purchase, for example on the product page or in your order confirmation. Different licenses, editions, and offers may carry different scopes.
- Activations and moving devices. You may activate the Software up to your license’s seat limit, and activations may span operating systems. Deactivating the Software on a device frees a seat, which you may then use to activate another device.
The Software is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Software.
2. License validation
CANoli verifies your license online through our licensing provider (Lemon Squeezy) by transmitting your license key and a one-way hash of a machine identifier, as described in our Privacy Policy. You agree not to interfere with, circumvent, or disable license validation or seat limits.
3. Restrictions
You may not, and may not permit others to:
- share, sell, sublicense, rent, lease, or distribute your license key or the Software;
- exceed your purchased number of seats, or use technical means to defeat seat limits or license validation;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- remove or alter any proprietary notices; or
- use the Software in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
4. Trial
We may offer a free trial. Its duration, scope, and any limits are those stated when the trial is offered or started, and a trial may be changed, limited, or withdrawn at any time. The trial is provided “as is” for evaluation and is subject to this Agreement. Attempting to obtain multiple or extended trials through deception is a breach of this Agreement.
5. Purchase, pricing, taxes, and refunds
Sales of CANoli are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. This means:
- Your order, billing, applicable taxes, and payment are handled by Lemon Squeezy under its own terms, available at https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/terms.
- Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy and Lemon Squeezy’s terms. To request a refund or resolve a billing issue, contact us at support@salvatorre.com or use the contact details on your Lemon Squeezy receipt.
Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases.
6. Updates and lifetime-update licenses
We may provide updates, bug fixes, or new versions of CANoli at our discretion. Unless your license expressly includes a lifetime-updates entitlement (for example, a “Founder’s Edition” license), future major versions may require a separate purchase or an active updates plan. Where you hold a lifetime-updates entitlement, it remains valid according to the terms under which it was granted and is portable across your devices like any other license.
7. AI features and third-party services
CANoli’s AI features use a bring-your-own-LLM model: CANoli integrates with an external AI agent that you choose, configure, and run under your own account. We do not provide the AI model, do not control its output, and are not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, cost, or data handling of any third-party AI provider or other third-party service you connect to CANoli. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected.
Without limiting the above, we make no warranty that the Software is suitable for safety-critical, life-critical, or production use, or that any message it transmits or analysis it produces is correct or safe for your equipment. You are responsible for independently verifying any result before relying on it.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY DAMAGE TO VEHICLES, EQUIPMENT, OR PROPERTY, OR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where applicable).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Software in breach of this Agreement or applicable law, including any messages you transmit to any bus, vehicle, or equipment.
11. Termination
This Agreement and your license terminate automatically if you breach it. On termination, you must stop using the Software and remove it from your devices. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) survive.
12. Governing law and disputes
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in the State of Florida, USA will have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to this Agreement, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your place of residence.
13. Changes to this Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. The version in effect when you purchase or renew governs that transaction. We will post the current version at https://salvatorre.com/products/canoli and update the “Effective date” above. Continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.
14. Entire agreement; severability
This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy, is the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Software and supersedes any prior agreements. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
