Salvatorre Branding
Complete brand identity including logo, color palette, website design, and visual guidelines for a software solutions company.
The Story Behind the Brand
The Salvatorre brand is deeply personal—a fusion of my Italian heritage, artistic roots, and engineering career.
The Name
Salvatorre is a portmanteau combining my first and last names: Salvatore + Torre.
The Logo
The main logo draws directly from my childhood signature on artwork—sharp pencil lines forming angular letters with bold, deliberate strokes. That raw, hand-drawn quality has been refined into a clean, professional mark while preserving the energy of the original. The arrows on either side (< >) aren’t just decorative—they represent the angle brackets used in software development, a subtle nod to the </> syntax that defines my engineering work.
The Brandmark
The brandmark is two arrows, and that simplicity is the point. One shape carries three readings at once:
- An “S” for Salvatorre, carrying forward the S at the heart of the spray can
- A lightning bolt for electrical engineering and power electronics
- Arrows and code brackets for software development, the
< >of the wordmark distilled to its sharpest form
It holds its silhouette anywhere the wordmark cannot fit: a favicon, an app icon, a profile picture, a watermark.
The Spray Can
The original secondary mark was a spray can that bundled together the core elements of what I do:
- WiFi signal arcs representing IoT and connected devices
- The stylized “S” from the primary logo
- Circuit board traces symbolizing embedded systems and electronics
All wrapped into a spray can, the tool of graffiti artists who break rules and think outside the box. It carried a lot of meaning, and that was its weakness: an illustration with that much detail turns to noise at favicon size. The brandmark now does the small-format work, while the spray can lives on in the brand’s graffiti DNA.
The Colors
The red and green graffiti aesthetic is a direct nod to my Italian heritage—the colors of the Italian flag reimagined through street art. I’m not a big corporation with layers of bureaucracy. As a one-person operation, I move fast, take creative risks, and deliver work with personality.
Intentional Design
Every element of this brand was chosen with purpose. The colors tell a story. The shapes have meaning. The overall aesthetic communicates who I am and how I work. This same intentionality is what I bring to every branding project I take on.
